After a video of an altercation she had with an Instacart shopper went viral, a woman in Portland, Maine, began to experience backlash on social media.

A TikTok user (@visions.bree.223) uploaded a video of a woman repeatedly putting her hands on her. The woman said, “This is a private neighborhood, ten miles an hour,” while appearing to be angry at the Instacart shopper for an unknown reason in the video. The woman strikes the Instacart shopper in the video a few seconds later, though it hasn’t been confirmed whether the shopper was speeding through the neighborhood.

The woman got asked to leave by the Instacart shopper several times. The woman wanted the Instacart shopper to get into her car, but the shopper repeatedly rebuked her, saying, “That you’re not my mother” and “Don’t tell me what to do.”

Brenda Sue Joyce has been identified as the woman in the video by a TikTok user named Danesh.
