“Kill Bill” climbs from No. 4 to No. 1 after eight weeks at its previous No. 2 high, giving SZA her first number #1 hit on Billboard Hot 100 chart. Doja Cat got added to the remix, and the song became the biggest hit in the country.

Just hours before the song’s release, Doja Cat teased the collaboration on social media by posting “two ocean vistas with seagulls flying above (one silent, one set to Blackalicious’ “Make You Feel That Way”)” along with a few cryptic tweets aimed at SZA.

Doja Cat replied to that tweet, “@SZA sis…I did something bad.” “Jesus, what is it,” was SZA’s response. Doja simply replied, “9 pm / 4.13.23,” which gave many people the impression that new music was on the way.

The collaboration comes two years after Doja Cat and SZA’s smash hit “Kiss Me More,” which won them the Grammy for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance, a new version of “Kill Bill” is released.

The song was included on Doja’s third studio album, Planet Her, and received nominations for Record of the Year and Song of the Year.

Recently, Doja Cat and SZA’s “Kiss Me More” became the first female collaboration in Spotify history to reach 1.5 billion streams.

SZA has already experienced a legendary year. On the Billboard 200, her album “SOS” spent ten weeks at the top. With ten weeks at #1, SZA’s “SOS” surpasses Usher’s “Confessions” to hold the record for the longest-running R&B album of the century on the Billboard 200.
